Overview

Yamuna Body Rolling™ is a revolutionary approach to health and fitness using balls designed exclusively for this practice.
Yamuna Body Rolling works the way a hands-on practitioner works -only using a ball. The ball replaces hands as it moves on muscles to stretch them, dislodge tension and discomfort, increase blood flow, and promote healing.
Classes, including a 15-minute foot therapy class, are ongoing at the T’Dance Studio.

Yamuna Foot Fitness
Yamuna Foot Wakers: Where most people begin when rebuilding healthy, flexible and strong feet, Yamuna Foot Wakers are specially-designed to stimulate the bottom of the foot, increasing circulation. You'll actually feel the blood moving upward, energizing the rest of your body when you use these little knobby miracle workers on your tired, aching feet. With Yamuna Foot Wakers, it's super easy to add foot fitness to your dailly routine. Use them while sitting at your desk, watching television or just relaxing. Do the routines while standing for more intensity.

A New Type Of Stretching
YBR actually represents a new type of stretching: not static, not ballistic, nor active isolated stretching. In these forms of stretching, it's mostly the body of the muslce that does the stretch, while the tendons often pull toward the bone.
By contrast, YBR stretching is weight bearing, and it works the muscle's entire length-including the tendons. It starts by stimulating bone. Then the ball slides into the muscle's origin, leading the entire muscle to elongate out toward its insertion.

What Is Yamuna Body Rolling?
Yamuna Body Rolling (YBR) is a completely original fitness and therapy practice that combines healing, wellness, in injury prevention in a single, simple workout. YBR heals body problems at the same time that it helps you get in shape. YBR offers all these benefits:

Body Rolling grew out of a therapy system called Yamuna Body Logic (YBL), a hands-on technique that Yamuna Zake created over 20 years ago. In treating people with Body Logic, she exerted traction on muscle by using one elbow to apply pressure at the point where a muscle began and the other hand to pull the muscle in the direction of its natural movement, toward its insertion. Once it was elongated the muscle could take its full length, decompressing bones, joints, and nerves and restoring full function.
