Teresa Miller-Owner/Director

Teresa  started T’Dance in 1985 and lives in Hastings with her husband, Dave, and has three children:  Brett Miller, Logan & Ashlyn Miller and grandchildren Bron, Emelyn & Kiera, and Emma Miller. Teresa holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Modern Dance from Texas Christian University and an Associate in Arts degree from Stephens College, Columbia, Missouri, where she was also a dance major.

Teresa continues to study dance by regularly attending workshops and conventions: Manhattan Dance Project and Dance Olympus workshops in Omaha, and the Snowy Range Dance Festival at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, and the Dance Teacher Web Seminar in Las Vegas.  Teresa has studied with some of the legendary rhythm tappers such as Eddie Brown, Chuck Green and Steve Condos.  Most recently she has studied with Tony Waag of the American Tap Dance Foundation.  She has also studied Modern with Peter Pucci, of Pucci Plus Dance Company, Yoav Kaddar – Paul Taylor & Limon Dance Company/University of West Virginia, Kaye Richards – Univeristy of Utah, Darrell Thomas – Western Oregon University and Lawrence Jackson – University of Wyoming as well as dancers with the Repertory Dance Theatre of Utah and Ballet with Keith Saunders of the Dance Theatre of Harlem and Susan Israel Massey of the Richmond Ballet.  She also visits New York City annually with students to study dance at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway and Luigi Jazz Dance Center.  They also attend Broadway and professional dance company performances.

Teresa has choreographed for several local high school musical productions including West Side Story, Suessical The Musical, Camelot, Guys and Dolls and Oklahoma. She has also been a judge for the Kansas Miss Teen Pageant and many local high school, studio and college dance team auditions.

In 2008 Teresa completed her training and became the first certified practitioner in Yamuna Body Rolling in the state of Nebraska.  Teresa attended the Dance Teachers Web Live Seminar in Las Vegas during the summer of 2013-2015. She also participated in the American Tap Dance Foundation summer workshop in 2019 in New York City.

Her latest activity pursuit is Aerial Yoga, and she completed her first level of certification in 2016 and level two training in 2017! You can now find Teresa hanging and flying in studio 2 with her Aerial Yoga students.

She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, golfing, yoga, fiber arts and jewelry making & silver smithing.

Kay Jorgensen

Kay has studied dance for 20+ years.  She started dancing at age 9 taking ballet, tumbling and tap, under Debbie Diggs in Red Cloud, NE.  She was the lead role in “The Little Matchgirl”, which was a special Christmas performance.  Kathey Shaw took over Diggs School of Dance, where Kay continued to take classes through junior high.

Kay started dancing again when Teresa opened T’Dance School of Performing Arts where she studied ballet, jazz, hip hop and modern.  She was a member of the Nebraska Dance Theatre founded by Teresa Miller and Kathy Shaw.  She was an assistant and taught classes for several years at T’Dance.  Kay attended Tremaine and LA Dance Magic Conventions in Kansas City, also with T’Dance.

She recently finished 7 years as co-sponsor of the Adams Central Dance Team and has been a judge for area dance team tryouts.  Kay is in her 14th as a Physical Education Teacher for the Adams Central Elementary Schools, and has used her dance experiences to incorporate dance into the PE program.  She also coached Junior High Volleyball for 11 years.  Kay grew up on a farm southwest of Ayr, NE and now lives in Hastings with her husband Byron.

Claire Osgood-Kring

Claire grew up dancing at T'Dance! She has taught dance before in her hometown of Minden and is currently the cheer sponsor at Minden High School.  Claire will be teaching the clogging classes this year, and is excited to be back at T'Dance

Allie Remmers

I started dancing when I was 3 years old at a studio in Fremont, Ohio. I attended classes T'Dance School of Performing Arts for 9 years, until graduating high school. I took classes in the areas of ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern, belly dance and clogging.
In high school, I danced for the Hastings High School Tigerettes and was captain my senior year. In college, I danced on  the Tiger Debs dance team for Fort Hays State University. I was fortunate enough to serve as captain my senior year.
I taught at the Jackie Creamer's Dance Studio for 4 years during college and graduate school. I worked with dancers in the areas of ballet, jazz, hip hop and lyrical, between the ages of 2 and 17. I taught recreational classes as well as competition classes. During my time at Jackie's, I received regional awards for choreography.
I currently work as a speech-language pathologist for Hastings Public Schools, serving students K-5th grade at Alcott Elementary. I'm also the assistant coach for the Tigerette dance team.

Emily Struss

Emily Struss is a life long dancer at T'Dance and has been a student of Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop and Lyrical.  She has been teaching at T'Dance for the last few years and is excited to be teaching classes again this year! Emily was a 4 year member of the Hastings High Tigerette Dance Team and was a co-captain her senior year.  She is now a student at Hastings College majoring in Elementary Education and is currently a member of the Hastings College Crimson Spirit Dance Team.

Kalee Reams

Kalee Reams grew up at T’Dance! She began taking dance classes with Teresa when she was 5 and hasn’t stopped since! While at T’Dance, Kalee was trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Clogging, Pointe, and Bellydancing. Her favorites are Ballet and Modern! Kalee attended school through Adams Central growing up. While enrolled at Adams Central, Kalee was a member of the Stars Dance Team. Kalee was also an assistant for six years at T’Dance. 

After graduating high school, Kalee moved to Kearney to attend the University of Nebraska- Kearney, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with Minors in Dance and Educational Studies in 2020. As a Dance minor, Kalee was taught under the direction of Noelle Bohaty and Leslie Abegglen. Under Noelle and Leslie, Kalee was able to learn and grow while also attending different festivals and learning from guest choreographers. Kalee has taken courses in choreography, light design, and costuming. Kalee was able to perform in every UNK Spring Dance Concert from 2017-2020, and for that she is incredibly thankful (and thankful to Teresa, who came to each of her performances). She owes everything to Teresa, Noelle, and Leslie for teaching her everything she knows.

She is currently working at Watson Elementary as a 5th Grade teacher! Kalee is so excited to be back home and teaching at T’Dance!

Makenzi Gangwish

Makenzi is a T’Dance School of Performing Arts baby. She grew up studying at T’Dance since the age of 3. Makenzi has been trained in various styles of dance including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Clogging, Modern, Pointe, Lyrical, and Bellydance. Makenzi graduated from Adams Central Jr. Sr. High School where she was a 4-year member and 2-year co-captain of the Adams Central Stars Dance Team. Throughout her time in highschool and at T’Dance, Makenzi attended the Snowy Range Dance Festival at the University of Wyoming, the Dance Intensive at Oklahoma City University, numerous National Dance Alliance Camps, and spent time in New York City taking various classes at the Broadway Dance Center. Makenzi also traveled with the Adams Central Stars Dance team to compete at Nationals in 2013. Makenzi taught a variety of classes while at T’Dance and was a member of the T’Dance Elite Competition Team in 2014 and 2015 where they competed in numerous competitions throughout the Midwest.

Makenzi attended the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Legal Studies and Dance Minor in 3 years. She trained under the direction of Ms. Judi Siegfried. Makenzi further trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, and Choreography classes while at UCF. During her time spent within the dance program, Makenzi undertook positions as a teaching assistant in the Advanced Tap and the Advanced Jazz classes where she got to further grow as an instructor in a college classroom setting. Makenzi was appointed as the Vice President of the UCF Dance Minor Board of Student Representatives where she had the opportunity to speak for the students of the Dance Minor Program advocating for enhancements to the studio spaces and assist in the planning of the Annual Dance Minor Showcase. Makenzi was afforded the opportunity to choreograph for and perform in the Annual Dance Minor Showcase in 2019. While Makenzi was in Orlando, she was an instructor at the University Performing Arts Centre for various styles and classes, a member of the RUKUS Entertainment Crew, and the philanthropic dance competition coordinator and choreographer for the Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity.

While in Florida, Makenzi has also kept close ties to the wonderful dance community here in Hastings. She has been a choreographer and technical training coach for the Adams Central Stars Dance Team since 2019. Makenzi has choreographed their state pom routines and assisted with additional state jazz and hip-hop routines. During her time with the Stars Dance Team, the team placed Runner-Up in the Class C1 Pom category in 2019, top 5 in Class C1 Pom category in 2020, and top 5 in Class B Pom category in 2021.

Makenzi has recently graduated with her Juris Doctor Degree from Barry Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in Orlando, Florida and will be taking the Nebraska Bar Examination in July 2022. She currently continues to work with the Adams Central Stars Dance Team and has accepted an associate attorney position in Hastings contingent on her passing of the Bar Exam.  Makenzi is excited to be returning to T’Dance and to be teaching at her home studio once again!

Emma Miller


Guest Instructor, Emma Miller, studied dance from the age of 3 at T’Dance School of Performing Arts. She has attended Manhattan Dance Project, Dance Olympus, Snowy Range Summer Dance Festival at the University of Wyoming and Broadway Bound Dancer Workshop at Oklahoma City University. Emma has been an instructor at T’Dance for several years and is also currently on staff with National Dance Alliance. Emma traveled to Nationals with her high school dance team, the Adams Central Stars, in 2010 and 2013. She has also spent time taking many classes at Broadway Dance Center in New York City. She was awarded the Nebraska Young Artists Award, by the University of Nebraska in 2012. Emma was a member of the Danger Dolls dance team for the IFL Danger Football team in 2012.

Emma is a graduate of  the Dance Management program at Oklahoma City University, where she was a member of the American Spirit Dance Company and performed in Home For The Holidays, One Night Only, Applause, and OnBroadway. She was also a member of the OCU Pep Dancers. Emma’s instructors were: Ballet – Jo Rowan, Veronica Wilcox, Kay Sandel, Jessica Fay, Tap – Brian Marcum, Pat Oplotnik, Kari Shaw, Diana Brooks, Tiffany Warford, Jazz – Tiffany van der Merwe, Brian Marcum, Alana Martin, Kelli Stevens, Kari Shaw.

The summer of 2016, Emma trained in the Professional Semester at Broadway Dance Center, where she trained with Stacie Webster, Ian Eastwood, Matt Steffanina, Jamie Salman, Jim Cooney, Sheila Barker, Jared Jenkins, Eric Jenkins, Bev Brown, Mark Albrecht, Aaron Tolson, Yvonne-Marie Sain, Shirlene Amber Quigley, Ray Hesselink, Carlos Neto and many more.  She performed in the Broadway Dance Center Professional Semester Showcase at the Alvin Ailey Citibank Theatre in NYC.

Emma choreographed Strike A Pose and Crazy Right Now for the 2015 Elite Competition Team.

Emma is a graduate of Oklahoma City University Dance management program - 2017. She danced professionally for Larrwell productions in Dallas during the 2017 Mary Kay Seminar and is currently traveling the world as a professional dancer for Norwegian Cruise Line.  She traveled the Mediterranean and Caribbean  on the "Star" ship and the Hawaiian Islands on the "Pride of America" ship. Emma then lived in Mannheim, Germany and was a dancer at the Palazzo Theatre in 2019-20. Emma is currently performing at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
